A Quilt Along :)

These are the patches for a small quilt I will be making in the company of eight Bulgarian ladies.

I am happy, I will finally make something I have planned long time ago. And in good company too!

When I first realized most of the amazing little quilts I saw on Flickr were all part of Doll Quilt Swap, I patiently waited for the next round. I felt unsure what to do and which fabrics to use… and decided to keep it simple and safe – solids, ecru and rainbow. I liked it and sketched the next rainbow solids before finishing the swap quilt.

I will now make it! Since it is a simple design and will be fast to make, when some ladies asked how a patchwork is made, I proposed to organize a quilt along. And we have started.

I am planning to make it by hand. The previous two rounds of Doll Quilt Swap and the two handmade quilts I made changed my mind about hand piecing – it feels good.

If you have some time and feel like joining us.. let me know, so I will translate the first part for you – it is the patches number and size.
