It is safe and received! So I am happy!
Tracy wrote she loves it! I am very, very happy!
Now I can tell the story behind it. It is a wish quilt for good luck, colors an joy. It is a Rainbow quilt. I am a feng shui addicted quilter, so it shows in this quilt.
There are three rainbows on it. Each one starting at a different point of the spectrum. The middle one is in the true rainbow order /red to violet/. The rainbows are surrounded with white and background is ecru, to make rainbows sparkle.
The whole quilt is densely quilted. The three rainbows are quilted with three stems with leaves. The middle one is still growing. The vertical borders are quilted with halves of similar stems. All stems are quilted in variegated thread and white bubbles /dew/ are quilted in between.
I wanted to send something and decided on set of coasters and 2″ scrappy squares, which did not want to go in the mail /but I insisted and they gave it up/. The squares slipped into mu big bag and I had to ask to reopen the package 5 min. afterI left the PO.
I did not attach hanging sleeve as I personally do not like it on a quilt that is not hang and I had no idea whether it will be hang or not. But I sent some strips with the back fabric for hanging sleeve.
My part of the swap is over now.
Waiting the quilt made for me to arrive!

I think that your quilt is beautiful, but even more - I loved hearing the story behind it. Thank you for sharing that!

Several things to comment on: First, thank you for visiting my new blog, and leaving a good informative comment. Second, The Tracy that you sent your doll quilt to in Swap 4 is my daughter. You know, the one who talked me into quilting and joining this 5th swap. Your quilt that you sent Tracy is spectacular in the photos I have seen. I will see it for real next month. I look forward to seeing more of your quilts.
