Here it is. The first thing I have ever knitted! Not counting a cupcake… but it was a 5 needles practice not a project itself…
I like it. It looks good on my head. I have chosen a scarf pattern to make a matching one. The only thing I am uncertain about is whether the hat will grow in height and thus cover my eyes ones washed…This will not happen today for sure and you know why?

Ukraine and Russia have some issues to discus regarding gas transportation through Ukraine… this resulting in no central heating /and running hot water/ here… as the gas supply from Russia through Ukraine for the Balkan peninsula is equal to null or something very close to it… It is null for Bulgaria for sure. I mentioned we have a tradition here to make, and turn, and slice, and eat… but mostly search for a lucky note in a “banica”… It is salty, it is yummy and the most important thing on New Years Night is the lucky note inside. Unfortunately I am not the best food describer you could wish for, so I think I would better show you the next banica I bake… It is a traditional food, just the notes are New Year’s special touch…

Dec 31st was an ordinary day - lots of work in our home. So we used the late evening for nice and relaxing activities like writing the lucky notes in a lazy and very generous manner… I wrote many sitting by the dining room… asking everybody what they would like to have in the new year /and using a store brochure to make a solid base for my writing…./. It was a loooong Holiday Season… only 2 business days and so many of the other nice family type… Well, we worked most of them in one way or another, but they were not business days in the sense tomorrow will be.

So I thought I show you something nice as a last Holiday eye candy.

I like it! It is nice and feels really good to have it above your head in a chilly and bright evening. We have the first decent snow here too. And even made our first snowman few hours ago. Read the rest of this entry »

Честита Нова Година!
/which is the Bulgarian version of:/
Happy New Year!

Be healthy, happy and successful in 2009!

Thank you for visiting me here, on Flickr or Domoshar.net!
I am glad I started a blog in 2008! I met so many wonderful people thanks to it!

It was an interesting and dynamic year for me. I started a blog, participated in my first swap, opened an online boutique, invited some talented ladies to sell their creations there, registered in two big web portals and published nothing there. .. then started portal myself… but not alone… printed some fabrics, participated in a trade show…had a nice and extremely productive Christmas in the woods - white, snowy with a frozen river and beautiful water falls…finished my first knitted creation - a hat for myself /I do not actually count the first one - a cupcake :)/ Read the rest of this entry »

It was not an easy decision what to send to someone I do not know. I read and kept reading the blog. Still I did not find too many clues… So I choose something useful, something red for Christmas, something blue to make it appropriate for every season, something Bulgarian and something crafty to play with. Seemed like a good present recipe…

Karen likes it, so it was!
Thank you Chookyblue! I would not experience the magic to be a Santa Clause assistant without you! Merry Christmas!

I can show you something quilty now, afters all the work on the Crafting Community portal. A swap quilt! I sent it approximately 10 day ago and expected it to arrive last week. It did. Bronwyn received it. And loves it! She expected this quilt to be hers. Just as I was feeling this for the one Pink Trees sent me ;)

She blogged about the package saying the bright quilt matches her blinds, which makes me happy! Did I mention too many times I am happy? Also the coasters I sent her match her dining room. And she likes the little angle card. I suppose it feels special to receive something from Bulgaria. Maybe its quite exotic for her. Australia is special to me for sure. Read the rest of this entry »
