пачуърк тишлайферThis is something I made just before finishing my Doll Quilt Swap quilt.

It was a present for a special family friend.

I have made several of this table runners and I love the way this simple pattern turns into a soft crinkled beauty. I like simple designs, not too complicated or ornamental.
The centre of this one is ornamental actually, but in a very soft way as it is only light and shadow, crinkles and puckering that create the ornament.

Well, I think I will make more of these pretty soon. I really love the soft effect of ecru and fresh airy solids with traditional quilting motive. It seems I am in a soft colours period now. I will show you the wedding quilt I made in August. Soft colours…well, not exactly this kind of softness.

This table runner can be ordered in the Boutique (plus an option for custom colours).

I just added these bright kitchen acsesories in the boutique

Each is a pot holder measuring approx. 8″ x 8″, which also looks very nice under a big mug filled with hot tea, chocolate or soup /while protecting the table from the heat/.

Domoshar online boutique's pot holders

You can find them in the boutique already, but they will be available from tomorrow /June 16th/.

Sewing less

I am spending less and less time sewing these days. The technical issues regarding the eshop and some organizational decisions are taking most of my time.

The baby products we initially placed in the shop are quite a few. I am making plans for the next products to join them - pillows, table runners, etc. I have long hours in playing with some ideas and getting new inspirations in magazines and the web.

The most interesting thing is, often I am forced to choose the fabric first, and than play with all the shape, size and effects options depending on the fabrics chosen.

The quilt I have made so far were my projects or custom orders.

The eshop started with handmade items, but no patchwork at all. Today I placed two quilts to be made to order.

It is not a big step. But I am happy I placed something “patchwork” in the shop. Need to make some company for them soon.
