June Flowers Vivid, spectacular in pink!

Took dozens of pictures, so beautiful!

Love the herb among them.

Every stage – bud, flower, falling petals… – is so beautiful.

I have not taken pictures of the fields this June. They were gorgeous!

However I managed to take these pictures just a day before the flowers faded. They were so many – a wall of pink flowers before sunset… with herbs here and there… Love June and June flowers!

May FlowersA lovely bouquet for a lovely holiday in May. Bright colours, variety of shapes and flowers!

Love the May flowers – wild, garden and herbs.

This bunch of flowers smelled great too.

Another busy, busy week here. Had no time to take a picture of this week’s bouquet before it started losing its petals…

Sakura BlossomThis picture was taken a week ago during a weekend walk.

It was a beautiful Sakura, heavy with  blossom – big, heavy, pink flowers on the sakura alley here.

The trees are relatively young  – less than 10 year since they made the little sakura alley.

Each flower looks like ornament hanging on the tree and they all make it look so festive. And the trees in the alley…  them make me think of a garden party…

It is spring! It is green! Flowers, tulips… So beautiful! It is raining today – gloomy day with morning fog… Slow times… Seems it will rain all day…

My studio is quite a different story – new fabrics and batting pieces, new quilts sketches and owl piles… No slow times, just slow showing what is going on…

I am sewing, but showing almost nothing as I tend to be outside when the light is good and when I can make pictures the light is poor.

I have a special quilting project to finish by the end of the month and it is so close, I am not sure I will be able to do it with no stress.

The tulips are new – bought last night. They were green and pointy but it was too dark to take a picture, Here is how they look the morning after – getting colours… Please ecuse the vase – floweres almost every day, so it gets spotty – the water here is this type… See the soft spring light?

Happy spring!

Palm Sunday FlowersHere are new pot plants I had on Palm Sunday here. Palm Sunday is flowers celebration here and it is my name day too. Its name in Bulgarian is “Цветница” / Tzvetnitza/, coming from “цвете” /tzvete/, which is “flower” in Bulgarian. I won’t be wrong to write Palm Sunday in Bulgarian is actually Flower Day :) .

So in the Flower Day, and my name day /my name is the name of a flower too/, I received some flowers and bought some flowers and prepared my balcony for the late spring and summer. The summer bulbs are not visible growing yet, but the hyacinths are gorgeous – pale pink and hot fuchsia. With adorable, fantastic aroma.

I will show you some other flowers I received on this very day pretty soon. No pictures yet.

June and July are rose months here. Roses start flowering in May but in June they are not only many but also affordable and all grown in the gardens, not the green houses. With many nice parties around in June and July, I have lots of excuses to buy bunches and bouquets, for others and for myself. The bright ones here were bought for a birthday this week. And the deep red bellow were bought earlier in June.

Sometimes I take the time and taka a picture or too of the roses. I love the genuine look the garden June and July roses have. Only a late autumn rose can compete with them…

What you cannot feel is the smell… The dark red velvet roses scent is deep and strong, the lighter colours – not so strong but still adorable and refreshing.

It is my birthday today!
It was a fantastic day, almost normal, and quite magic… It started with a dentist visit…. but it was a good one. Then I went to my mother to give her a bouquet of roses and she bought me the most gorgeous orchid I have seen. Well, there are some that are more beautiful I suppose… But it is pale yellow with purple…and it is huge.. with even huger roots…
I baked self saucing pudding and served it with cream… Knitted in the evening. And bought myself some yarn today!
The roses are form last year. The new ones were not documented. LOL . I am trying not to take pictures if everything around… sometimes… I can stand it.

greenIt is still spring and it was quite cold /sometimes only 10C/ here in April, but the beginning of May was the beginning of the real spring this year. And it was a warm, glorious spring… and a short one. It was over a week ago.

I had to rearrange clothes and start wear short sleeves or no sleeves at all. The sea makes autumns here very long and really magic – gold on the trees and warm, warm weather – sometimes short sleeves in early November…

We pay for these long beautiful autumns with short – 5-10- days-long springs. It rarely takes more than a couple of weeks from wearing wool sweater to choosing sleeveless top for a walk.

It is one of my favorite periods of the year now and I enjoy it – all these flowers everywhere – poppies, variety of wild flowers, roses, flowering trees, the greenest gardens you can see, round white clouds and deep blue sky, summer clothes…  but no summer temperatures – it is still 25-30C. The chestnut trees are all covered with flowers too.
