June and July are rose months here. Roses start flowering in May but in June they are not only many but also affordable and all grown in the gardens, not the green houses. With many nice parties around in June and July, I have lots of excuses to buy bunches and bouquets, for others and for myself. The bright ones here were bought for a birthday this week. And the deep red bellow were bought earlier in June.
Sometimes I take the time and taka a picture or too of the roses. I love the genuine look the garden June and July roses have. Only a late autumn rose can compete with them…
What you cannot feel is the smell… The dark red velvet roses scent is deep and strong, the lighter colours – not so strong but still adorable and refreshing.

It is my birthday today!
It is one of my favorite periods of the year now and I enjoy it – all these flowers everywhere – poppies, variety of wild flowers, roses, flowering trees, the greenest gardens you can see, round white clouds and deep blue sky, summer clothes… but no summer temperatures – it is still 25-30C. The chestnut trees are all covered with flowers too.
