Sunday Stash

Sunday Stash: MailledHere are some of the prittiest fabrics here – polka dots, hearts and Murano-like print.

I received them as part of swaps and love them.

I know my style and mixing colours ans prints habits and tastes are a bit strange.. I love the way they look together.

Little joyful things!

Sunday Stash #34: RetroLatest additions to my stash – red and violet, beige and brown, gray and stripes.

No specific idea for them yet…

While the bold solids and the deco beige print are something I typically like, the monochromatic stripe is not exactly my type of prints. Still I liked it enough to buy it.

Sunday Stash #33: Lavender"

The latest addition to my stash. Bold print in subtle tones and black. The piece on the picture is a really generous fat quarter – it is a large scale print…

The subtle lavender on lavender and white flowers make it really special.

Sunday Stash #: Cartoon Print
I had a difficult weekend and even a difficult Friday before it.

So I forgot to take a picture of a fabric for the Sunday Stash… and I am now showing you a cartoon knit staying around for something…

I used it few years ago and have a new idea for a tiny part of it.

Sunday Stash #31: Various Greens
These are not new, not part of a special collection, not related, not special, but the fact thay are part of my newest project.

I was looking for at lest 8 fresh greens in various styles and shades and here is the selection.

I love it. Will sew it all together in the next couple of days.

I am really impressed by the way unexpected combos make the colours blend and shine.

Sunday Stash #30: Surprise Fabrics
Another surprise stash addition. It was a lovely gift by Diónaea . Thank you!

These were accompanied by lots of beautiful extras. I see now I took a picture with some of the extras in – the top 3 in the pile plus the “Portugal” reading one – a tea towel.  They came here all the way form Portugal. The bottom one is IKEA fabric, I have not seen before. Hm, seems a need to make a new picture, which will happen on Monday, as I am not seeing this pile before.

No other interesting new fabrics here. I bought some, but I just restashed some old fabrics. Planning another restashing next week. Hopefully I will find something new then.

Sunday Stash #29: New Treasures
It might be ridiculous for most people, but not for sewing/quilting ones – fabrics are liked, collected, hunted, longed for, happily received and reluctantly cut.. sometimes.

These are the newest additions to my stash. A beautiful surprise package – part of a fabric swap, I received from NotYetTheDodo. Thank you!

And these are just some of the beautiful fabrics I received. The rest is claimed for a special quilt and thus remain in a secret stash for now LOL

Sunday Stash #28: A piece with history of its own

Here is a special piece of fabric – Sandi Henderson’s Henna Garden in red. I won it in a give away long time ago. I had to write what I would do with it if I won it. I though it will be a lovely cushion for the new sofa… It is still in one-piece form  /it is a fat quarter/ – not pieced or incorporated into a cushion….

I am putting it here as a reminder, I will soon cut it.

It was a generous giveaway on Wendy’s blog. Thank you!  I will make a cushion finally!

Here is the original plan: “When I first saw it I though a bag. But I will make a pillow. It will make a lovely patchwork pillow for the new coach we are waiting for and I will see it every day :) .
What I will add, unbleached cotton, linen, some fresh greens, and pale blues, just to make this beauty stand out.”

Will see how close I will be a year and half later…

Sunday Stash 26
These are some of my lovely fabrics received in the mail as a surprise in a swap. It is amazing how people that do not really know each other can guess successfully each other’s tastes about something as colourful and different as fabrics.

These were an amazing trio because they all have distinct style., the styles have nothing in common generally and I love them all.
