Gifts for Babies and Moms

Some of our friends have little babies, some are expecting. So I am making little gifts for them and decided to add some bibs and burp cloths in my shop. I am planning more soon too.

I really love how soft they are and the fact they have almost minimalistic design but some detail too. I have not sold anything for babies in my shop yet – one sail and not a baby one/. I hope some of these will be the start.

Custom Baby Quilt

I do enjoy making baby quilts.
Especially if it is a newborn baby gift.

This is the latest one – made for a small boy.
A friend of the family needed a touching baby gift. I had a week to complete it and send it to her. It was quite a pressure along the other projects, but it was a baby quilt so it was also great pleasure for me to make it, pack it and send it.

Babies, Kids and Small Quilts

I have completed a couple of baby and kids quilt made to order lately.
It is incredibly satisfying to make something for a wonderful boy or girl and imagine the happy kid and family /especially the kid/.

I was told one of the quilts was happily carried around the house by the kid during his birthday party.

I even had the chance to actually meet a kid I made a quilt for last year.
It is a great feeling to see the kid and receive his sweet hug. This makes me happy.

Another great thing about baby quilts, apart from being made for fabulous little persons, is the fact they are small scale projects and I see the result quickly. Maybe I will start a small scale projects routine. This makes me really productive. It also means sweet baby gift wraps which as an added bonus experience.
