A new pile bought this week. Makes me think of a family - children, coziness, cheerfulness and urban style mixed in a few yards of fabric. Kid prints will be part of a certain project. The rest just caught my eye.

New fabrics on my table some days ago. The picture was taken just before I cut them and pieced them into patchwork tops. I remember a blue period in my room, wardrobe, paintings, etc. many years ago. Piecing blue felt so good in a sunny late summer day. Pictures of the top will come here soon.

Some more last week fabrics. It was fabric week last week. Stashing before the start of the school year, Christmas and some new projects. This led to unusually many metres of new fabrics here. I reordered my fabrics to be able to get them all on the fabric shelves and saw so many quilts waiting for me to piece them.... One knitting projected thicked on the list, one quilt about to get finished, school year a few days away... hopefully I will start withe first quilt in a couple of weeks! Plus I am making the pincushion for Scrappy Pincushion Swap next week. Inspiring!

These are the new fabrics on my shelves bought this week. I decide to do some restashing, while preparing for my next quilt and some new fabrics jumped in the pile unexpectedly. I love the fact I am getting some of my most favourite colours plus some I am not usually even looking at... expanding my collection...

Here are some of the prittiest fabrics here - polka dots, hearts and Murano-like print. I received them as part of swaps and love them. I know my style and mixing colours ans prints habits and tastes are a bit strange.. I love the way they look together. Little joyful things!

The latest addition to my stash. Bold print in subtle tones and black. The piece on the picture is a really generous fat quarter - it is a large scale print... The subtle lavender on lavender and white flowers make it really special.

These are not new, not part of a special collection, not related, not special, but the fact thay are part of my newest project. I was looking for at lest 8 fresh greens in various styles and shades and here is the selection. I love it. Will sew it all together in the next couple of days. I am really impressed by the way unexpected combos make the colours blend and shine.

Another surprise stash addition. It was a lovely gift by Diónaea . Thank you! These were accompanied by lots of beautiful extras. I see now I took a picture with some of the extras in - the top 3 in the pile plus the "Portugal" reading one - a tea towel.  They came here all the way form Portugal. The bottom one is IKEA fabric, I have not seen before. Hm, seems a need to make a new picture, which will happen on Monday, as I am not seeing this pile before. No other interesting new fabrics here. I bought some, but I just restashed some old fabrics. Planning another restashing next week. Hopefully I will find something new then.

Here is a special piece of fabric - Sandi Henderson's Henna Garden in red. I won it in a give away long time ago. I had to write what I would do with it if I won it. I though it will be a lovely cushion for the new sofa... It is still in one-piece form  /it is a fat quarter/ - not pieced or incorporated into a cushion.... I am putting it here as a reminder, I will soon cut it. It was a generous giveaway on Wendy's blog. Thank you!  I will make a cushion finally! Here is the original plan: "When I first saw it I though a bag. But I will make a pillow. It will make a lovely patchwork pillow for the new coach we are waiting for and I will see it every day :). What I will add, unbleached cotton, linen, some fresh greens, and pale blues, just to make this beauty stand out." Will see how close I will be a year and half later...

Latest addition. Actually one of the fabrics in the latest addition pile... I was not sure about this one - seemd washed out, a little bit acqaurelle, a little bit like vintage. I actually liked it when I bporught it in the studio. I see a quilt with this one in the leading role. So soft...
