Here it is. The first thing I have ever knitted! Not counting a cupcake… but it was a 5 needles practice not a project itself…
I like it. It looks good on my head. I have chosen a scarf pattern to make a matching one. The only thing I am uncertain about is whether the hat will grow in height and thus cover my eyes ones washed…This will not happen today for sure and you know why?

Ukraine and Russia have some issues to discus regarding gas transportation through Ukraine… this resulting in no central heating /and running hot water/ here… as the gas supply from Russia through Ukraine for the Balkan peninsula is equal to null or something very close to it… It is null for Bulgaria for sure. Twisted!

My hat was twisted.

Yes, I know every circular pattern tells “be careful not to twist” when joining…

The second one, I joined last night…. it is a different story. Watching/listening Dancing Stars I twisted it. I will start again this evening.

This makes my first hat very special ;)

I made some progress knitting my hat during the weekend. Half of it is ready now. But it will not be like this for long. I will have to start it over this weekend as it turned wider than expected.
I have some new fabrics here, in addition to these great fabrics and extras I received in the Fat Quarter Swap.

It is a dark evening photo, but it shows the hat before the remake.

Though I use embroidery skills from time to time, knitting and crocheting are something I omit. Or I did so! I was never fond of knitting and crocheting. They seemed slow to me /as I was slow/…
I have knitted no complete item ever. But started last week. I have one cupcake ready. It is not looking exactly the way it is supposed to, but it is a start. And I have just started a hat for myself. A long list of items to be knitted appeared miraculously in my journal!!! So I have to start quickly. Read the rest of this entry »
