What is Good in Blog Design? Decluttering Mine - Asking You

I am a feng shui fan. I stumbled upon feng shui long ago and read a lot. The most interesting part is, I sometimes really feel what is right and not, not only know it. I suppose it is a sign of practice... or craziness LOL When I started this blog I tried to make it as uncluttered as possible. But as everything else, it got cluttered with the time... new fields, widgets, info...etc... and when I added my mini etsy and my etsy favorites there was no nice place for them... No space for something new... the clearest sign a space is too cluttered to be good... I took a careful look and deleted or removed all the cluttery part today - all things old, unused or invisible. I have no idea how most people read a blog and how they design their own blogs... I read rss-s and usually get headache at a small space with lots of links - I just can not read them all or they only destruct readers eyes... or scrolling 4-5 screens down on a single page... do you really do it?... At the same time lots of links are good. You can make a good long blogroll, promote your friends, etc... I started with a 5 post page, went through 10 and 8 and I am heading to 5-6 posts per page again I think... Same goes with the teaser only or whole post on the front page... Wich is better for you? I feel better with teasers when reading, so I diid the same here. So the main decluttering took part in my side column... I have no idea whether it is true, but I believe now that things there are not really visible... especially the lower part as people do not have the time and desire to scroll... or never see it, if they read posts in a feed aggregator like Bloglines... What is you feel about blogs design and links? Columns, links, scrolling, blogrolls, promoting friends... etc? Adds? Especially google ones? Do they make you feel the blog commercial? Or and I do not like posts without pictures generally. So this one will get a picture later today. ivf premarin confession of saint zyprexa
